   But it doesn't look like he put much effort into getting that answer. He   
   has been asked it by me also and still, nothing definitive.   
      
   Al, the problem here is that we are not familiar with the application   
   HOWEVER permissions are permissions. The application does not need to be   
   run as root, so while it will solve the immediate issue, it is not the   
   solution.   
      
   The solution is to Save As... if available and pick a location that you   
   KNOW you have rights to. You DO not likely have rights in /home/usr/...   
   which I believe you mentioned up thread. There should be a directory   
   beneath /home with your username tied to it:   
      
   /home/al/   
      
   perhaps?   
      
   In any event, you WILL have permission to create/modify/delete files and   
   folders to your hearts content. If you need more info, you must supply   
   details of what you are seeing/doing to get better help.
