   That's nice.

USB printers, Video cards and NIC cards all need drivers. The generic
drivers provided by windows, IF there are any, lack many features that
   the hardware is capable of.

I am not accusing anyone of anything that isn't well known. Windows
peripherals require driver disks to function as they were manufactured.

Yes, did I stutter? Its a device that requires drivers and the ones
provided in the package are MS only.

As I said, I have an HP and have used no less than 3 different distros
of varying versions and have never had an issue getting it running
within minutes of getting the OS installed, all without swapping a disk
   or rebooting.

Who the hell opens the file to touch the damn numbers unless they need
to tweak. Between Slack, Mandr* and Ubuntu on 4 different boxes I have
never had to do more than change nv to nvidia.

Its the company we keep, this group is full of trolls that think Linux
should be just like Windows, its the only Linux group that I read that
eminates this much FUD and considering the number of posts in this
   group, that's a bad thing.

Ridiculous. This is Usenet what goes on in my killfile has no affect on
anyone but me. As for my knowledge, I'd gladly put my Usenet posting
   history against yours any day.

I still remember, I can also smell BS a mile away.
