This has not been my findings. The peripheral disks are only ever needed
for special accompaniement SW - most of which is not needed. At least
for getting the OS up and running. Of course most new machines come
   preinstalled.

You seem very keen to throw accusations around these days. Maybe you
   need a break?

I have an HP and it took ages to set up in Linux because of CUPS issues
in Ubuntu. In Windows it just worked. Configuring printers in Linux is
not trivial a lot of the time.

Could also be bad numbers in xorg.conf *FAR* too much is possible in
the xorg.conf for the nOOB. Bad numbers can even result in dead HW.

You & BlackTopBum have become increasingly rude & obnoxious for some
reason. You wield your knowledge & killfiles as if it makes you judge &
jury. A shame as you were a good advocate and helper - when you could
still remember how it was for you during your learning process.
