   I take it you are using Gnome?   
      
   If so   
   System -> Preferences -> Sessions -> Select.. "start up programs".   
      
   Click the "add" button and add your program name   
      
   This *needs* to be the name of the program that can run in the Cli...   
      
   You can check it works yourself by running it in Applications ->   
   Accessories -> Terminal and entering the name of your program (such   
   as "firefox" or "knode" or "pan")...   
      
   If you need the cli name of a particular program, post back and I'll be   
   happy to supply it. Well, if it's not too obscure. Obviously commands   
   like "Photoshop" or "Vista" won't work. ;-)
