   IMO Ubuntu is so successful because of the great job Shuttleworth has   
   done of combining the responsiveness of a user-driven distro with the   
   heavy funding of a commercial distro.

   Yep. I'm somewhat amused by the way the Debian guys get all in a huff and   
   proclaim that there is no significant difference between Ubuntu and   
   Debian. Just ask any nontechnical user who is new to Linux, the   
   differences are *quite* substantial to them.
