   My drives in fstab have 0 1 at the end. This is the pass number and may    
   be the cause of the problem. (I'm no expert BTW)   
      
   It is usually better to use default as writing to NTFS drives, for    
   instance, as this will give "read only" access to protect the drive    
   from definite data loss. With ext3 drives, there shouldn't be a problem    
   using rw though.
