   Yeah I do mean adding "1024x768" to the modes line. Most xorg.conf files    
   contain several Modes lines. There is one included for each "Display"    
   subsection. Normally I change them all. (The difference for each    
   subsection is the Depth). After the modifications to the xorg.conf file    
   restart the computer and try to change the resolution via:    
   System->Preferences->screen resolution.
