   I did a search while posting my previous message, but with no luck. It    
   appears to be a hercules chip, but I am not sure. I guess this card is    
   just to old. Even if you find the chip type, I guess you will not    
   benefit much from installing another driver. So my advice: leave it as    
   it is and only add support for a higher resolution. If you want to do    
   more fancy stuff you need to buy a new card, but the computer is    
   probably to old anyway.
