Hello Dan,
I have configured my printer (hpcolor laserjet 2550) with a printer
server. The printer server is attached to the ethernet and configured as
'printserver' with ip-adress 192.168.0.254. The USB-Port, to which the
printer is attached is published as "printserver p1" in CUPS.
My printserver is a "level-one FBS-3002USB" and can be configurated just
by typing 'http://192.168.0.254' in my favorite browser.
I don't know whether your server will support http-access, but you
should read the appropriate threads in the ubuntu newsgroups.
