   I had a broadcomm unit working under 5.10. Since I upgraded to 6.06 I've
been unable to get it going again. Tried at least half a dozen different
'solutions' involving both ndiswrapper and the native driver all to no
   avail.

Finally got a Dlink WNA2330 (Atheros chipset) plugged it in and it worked
'out of the box' with madwifi. Highly recommended. This is not a usb
product, but rather pcmcia; but I would think your chances of success
would be greatly enhanced with an Atheros chipset unit.
