I posted recently about this but I called it by the wrong name and my
post was perhaps not as clear as it should have been, so I'll try again.
I recently installed ubuntu 6.06 (Dapper) and noticed that it correctly
identified my American Power Conversion Co. uninterruptible power supply
(USB connected) so I did a search in the Synaptic package manager and
found some packages meant to be used with my exact unit. I installed 3
packages; apcupsd, apcupsd-cgi and apcupsd-doc. From the description of
the packages I thought there was a GUI for it, but there is none. Perhaps
there's not supposed to be one, but I thought there should be some way to
set the parameters for the u.p.s. I have not found any commands to
control it via the terminal either. The system still shows extensive
information about the unit and its status in the Configuration Editor, so
it seems to be recognized and working, but there's no way to set or
change the working parameters for it. Anyone know anything about this?

       Thanks,

           Fedor
