   Hi Colyn,

I'm only a newbie to Linux (and in particular, the Ubuntu distribution)
myself, but I'd suggest you try executing the following "root user" command at
the command prompt in a terminal window:

   sudo vi xorg.config

You will be asked for your "administrator" password. Type it in and press
   [ENTER].

The vi editor should then be invoked in 1st-level command mode, allowing you
to view the existing contents of your xorg.config file.

To enter 2nd-level command mode, press either "i" or "a" to insert or append
   text to the file respectively.

Make your changes then press [ESC], then [SHIFT] + : (this returns you to
   1st-level command mode)

Type "x" (without the quotation marks) and press [ENTER]. The vi editor saves
your edited file and terminates, returning you to your original terminal
   command prompt.

I hope this is of some assistance to you Colyn.

   Cheers,
   Geoff.
