   That would be easy except that I have two CD-ROM drives connected to the    
   machine and have tried both as far as booting the disk. I have also used the    
   disk in another computer and the machine will boot with it. I have also    
   tried disconnecting one of the CD-ROM drives and tried to boot, with the    
   thought that the bios might be getting confused, but nothing changes.    
   Actually, until you mentioned it I've never come across a drive that uses    
   jumpers todisallow it to boot an OS.   
    Still stuck.
