   OK. And to answer your question regarding running different desktops on   
   the cube...   
      
   You need to open gconf-editor from a terminal prompt   
      
   Then navigate to   
   /apps/metacity/general/num_workspaces and edit the key to 1   
      
   Although this seems "wrong" it does work and you have four "cube" desktops   
   via the one metacity "one".   
      
   I hope that drivel made some sort of sense.   
      
   Have you managed to get the keyboard to stay at the one you want yet?   
   I.E., not the default US one.
