   From one stand point the answer has been positive - we have saved you   
   time.   
   As of now, from what I have both read and accomplished myself, there   
   is no direct upgrade path. Save your user, plus any config files you have   
   customized, and do a new install to 64 bit. Although, I went back to 32bit   
   as many things I like were no longer useful and, for the average home   
   user, 64bit will bring nothing worth the effort of changing.
