   You're right.  When you are in the view of 'show/ing the message list'   
   [causing the L frame], then the view of the message is as short as the L   
   frame, which in the case of a short message list is very short.  This is   
   true for your 3.5.5 Konqueror .jpg and my 3.5.2.  It does not happen   
   that way in Opera or Tbird in Ub or Mozilla in Linspire's Internet Suite   
   [or IE in Win]   
      
   However, a workaround besides changing browsers would be to use the   
   'more options' and hide the message list L frame.  Then the view of the   
   length/height of the message is more normal.
