Argueably you could say that putting the cursor at the bottom doesnt
force the poster to do anything but place his 2 word comment and not snip
the ~100 previous lines. Most bottom posters, even ones that know better,
leave extraneous text in the reply and this is triggered by a reader that
places the cursor at the bottom.

I would have it no other way and most of the better readers do postition
the cursor at the top just under the attribtution.

Thats just it, it isnt about YOU, this is a community. You arent doing
whats best for you, you should be doing what suits the community and
since the majority of the world is NOT on broadband its discourteous to
   not snip.

But it isnt. Come on over to a group that discusses news readers full
time and youll see what the preferred method is. CLUE: Yours isnt it.

You need to now what lurking is before you can do it.

Becasue places like Gogle dont start you with a pointer to a primer. When
I got my first ISP account many years ago they were VERY persistant about
reminding you to read the FAQ's.

Placement of a cursor does not in any way trigger thinking, thats up to
the user. Cursor placement is irrelevant. Just look at all the readers
around and the variuos methodologies on cursor placement. You can find a
user for every every single reader that top posts, bottom posts and
interposts which proves that placing the cursor 'here' does nothing to
implly what to do next, be that snip or type.
