   Exaile! is supposed to be ok with the iPod - I don't have one so I can't   
   confirm it.   
      
   Another alternative is Banshee, which is also very nice and   
   will work with other MP3 players as well as the iPod. You may find it   
   more intuitive than Exaile! for playlists.   
      
   Both of these run fine in Ubuntu.
