   If you go to System -> Administration -> Disks (you will be prompted for
   your password)

   Do you see the partition listed?
   If you do see it, what is the value in 'Access Path'? Blank?
   Click 'Change' and point it someplace. I am not sure but if you give it
   a value that does not exist it will likely create it for you. The Ubuntu
   standard is to mount the partitions at /media/hd??.

   Or, if you want to be cool ;)

   edit your /etc/fstab as root:

   $ sudo cp /etc/fstab /etc/fstab.bak
   $ sudo gedit /etc/fstab

   and add a line like:

   /dev/hdc1       /media/hdc1     vfat    defaults,utf8,umask=007, 0 1

   Be sure and change the values to match your device/partition

   Save the file and click up a terminal:

   $ sudo mount /media/hdc1
