   The smaller the left-hand side, the less disk space Windows has. You have 80   
   GB and you want to allocate 10 GB to Linux. 10/80 = 12.5%, so you want to   
   slide it left until there's about 87.5% on the left and 12.5% on the right.   
   It won't be accurate as the partition will round the sizes to the nearest   
   cylinder.   
      
   Once you've done this, you then need to create a partition for Linux using   
   the space you just freed up. Right-click the grey space at the right-hand   
   end, then click New. Make it an ext3 partition for Linux. Once you've done   
   that you can click the Apply All Operations icon.
