   I've never preached that. But you seem to be preaching that they   
   *must* not use it from day one. Why not? They are learning Linux.   
      
   I don't think they should be spared   
   forays into the CLI just because they are new. This is part of   
   learning the system. When asking for help, they should take the help   
   given and not expect someone to teach them the GUI way just because   
   they are scared of the command line. They are asking for help from   
   volunteers who are nice enough to spend their spare time helping out.
