   I think that I have said many times over that I know there are other   
   ways. Use the tool that works the best. But why should one not be   
   taught all of the tools so they have the choice?

   Exactly. Take the help they are given and get over their phobia of CLI   
   commands. It's easier much of the time for people to give CLI help vs.   
   trying to explain how to wade through the GUI. Sometimes the person   
   giving the help may not be familiar with the specific window manager   
   the person is using.

   There are other ways. Many times the CLI is the easiest way. Some   
   people are saying the CLI is hard. It's not. I do agree with you on   
   most of what you are saying but I   
   don't agree that newbies should be spared CLI help.
