I use VMWare under Linux to run DOS Compilers (installed Windows 2000 in a
virtual machine). To access the source code from either systems I had room
on ext2, FAT32 and HPFS volumes (there is a Warp FP ~11 on that machine,
too). The only possible way to NOT collide with case problems in filenames
was to place the shared folders on a HPFS volume. Those DOS compilers
open/create files in any case they want and it even changes between
   compiler runs!

So, consider using HPFS for shared data. I had no problems using the volume
from OS/2 afterwards (even using HPFS386).
