   Here is another Ubuntu basic problem.  It is highly dependent on   
   Internet access to revise, install, etc.  Yet it comes without   
   means of accessing a dial-up line.  One of the first things needed   
   is a way of finding a driver for whatever modem (if possible).    
   There is a script extant to check the internal modem type, but it   
   is not present on the CD.  Once that hurdle is passed (I haven't)   
   there is the problem of downloading a driver, and no means for   
   that.  Again, they should all be on the CD.  Alternatively, there   
   should be an easily available (possibly pay) CD or CDs that include   
   a complete set of auxiliary components.   
      
   There isn't even a terminal capable of playing with the modem   
   interface.  If there was I could be attacking via an external   
   modem.   
      
   These things are all fixable, but haven't been.
