   That's nice. If all you want to do is edit a file as root. It is nice   
   that Ubuntu has this feature. Very handy. But how about a right   
   click menu to rename thousands of text files by stripping the spaces   
   and special characters from the current filename, replacing the spaces   
   with underscores, prepending "log", appending a number starting with   
   0000001 and capitalizing the extension?   
      
   No, you are right, what kind of newbie is going to want to do that?   
   But eventually newbies are going to be non-newbies and will want to   
   start doing things the easy way. Introducing them to the command line   
   will teach them that it's not something to be avoided but something   
   that is very cool.
