And this is so easy that we have hundreds of thousands of zombie
Windows computer clogging the net with spam and other junk. Running a
computer comes with the responsibility of keeping that computer under
control. This problem stems from people not wanting to learn how a
computer works. Even in the Windows world this is not an easy thing.

You seem to be the one not understanding. Everyone seems to applaud
the efforts of Ubuntu to make life easy for new users. I know I do. I
recommend Ubuntu to anyone who asks about Linux. Hook it up and GUI to
your hearts content. But when someone asks for help, how can you
expect the people in the know to not resort to the most powerful tool
in the inventory to help out the stumped newbie? These experts are
advocating learning the CLI because they learned it and know how
useful and time saving it is. If someone wants to be taught how to use
Linux, then pay attention and learn what people are telling them. So
you have to read some things. So what? We are all obviously literate
enough to ask for help. Maybe some of us will just have to stop being
   lazy and read a bit.
