   Hi,
as per the Subject line. I tinker with my Linux OS quite a lot, adding,
removing etc. A few times it has become unstable or done something
unexpected (My own fault). On another distro I tried /HOME can be set
on its own partition, can this be done within Ubuntu? On my most recent
setup I noticed that /HOME was not an option with the partition manager.

Can I install another HD, copy my home directory to it, and then set it
as a mount point post installation?
