This is the kind of advice that people turns away from Linux, because
this has to end with a big disappointment. Lots and lots of programs
   don't run on Wine.
If Chris wants to use certain Windows-programs on
Linux, he first has to look if that's possible at all, and if possible,
how. I have to test browsers on sites I make, and a lot of browsers
absolutely refuse to run on Linux or any kind of a program like Wine. I
had to install VMWare with XP inside it.
   I'm afraid if somebody tries
Linux with this in his mind and he finds out you can't run all
Windows-apps on Linux he'll soon quit Linux and stay with Windows. And, in
my opinion, if somebody wants to run all or most of his Windows
applications on Linux, probably in the same way as they run on Windows, I
think he should just stick with Windows.
