PAN, like the other items - excluding links2 - is not by default installed
for KDE but often are for GNOME, it's layout is more towards the
GNOME way (simple and fast), color schemes respond better in GNOME, it's
not an eye candy bar as most things in KDE are, is "A multithreaded Usenet
newsreader for GNOME". So, in that sense I mean it's GNOME-ish. Finally,
GNOME stands for "GNU Network Object Model Environment ".
