   It's not about fixed or removable. A user can only unmount volumes he   
   has mounted. Fixed volumes usually are mounted at boot time by root so   
   ordinary users can't unmount them. Removable drives usually are mounted   
   by users, either manually from CLI or some GUI or automatically by HAL   
   or something similar, so that very same user can unmount them (but others
