   I was reading the Ubuntu Help file and it mentions that the 64-Bit    
   Versions referred to on the FTP servers are in fact Core Duo compatible    
   (There is no reference to this on the download mirrors).  The mirror    
   sites mention AMD and thats it.   
      
   Here are some more questions   
      
   1) Is it indeed a fact that if I download the 64 bit edition it will    
   work with my Core Duo CPU?   
      
   2) Like windows, is Memory Management the only real benefit?  Does it    
   run better/faster   
      
   3) Are the repositories the same and can I use 32-bit based programs   
      
   4) Will Beryl work?   
      
   5) I assume I have to wipe and install from scratch, which is a pain...    
   is it worth it?
