   There is that. Most people tend to teach the same way *they* were   
   taught, and many of the GUI tools that are now commonplace weren't   
   around even a year or two ago.   
      
   The point remains that there *will* come a time when the only way to   
   accomplish a certain task will be through the command line. When that   
   time comes, it will be easier for the new user if he has a little bit of   
   experience with the CLI, no matter how limited.
