   Hi all.

Forgive the cross post. I don't usually do it.

But I'm happy and I just wanted to share the joy.
Can you feel the love? I am happy. I just love Linux.
every time I use it for something that I am needing to
do and wasn't before, it does it. It's fast, and smart.

I'm not new to Linux, but over the years I have become
more and more addicted to it for all kinds of great reasons.

I haven't been using a printer for like, two years, because
frankly, believe it or not, I had no need for one. Last night
I needed one. I went out to wal mart at midnight, took a $27.00
HP 1300 off the shelf and headed home. I unpacked it, plugged it
in, turned the computer on, and started printing, no setup,
no "please install the software from the cd", or paying any
attention to the "minimum system requirements", which were
different for XP, 2000, and Vista, not to mention frightening.
Oh, and I guess it dosen't work with Linux, since it's not
   a mac either. [1]

[It's worth noting that HP went out of their way to advertise
on the box "works with Vista!" as if that's a suprising
   feature]. //End windows remarks.

What's either amusing, or a sad commentary, is that I already
*knew* it would work flawlessly just by putting the usb in the
port and adding paper. Oh, yea, I had to plug in to the power
strip. NOTE TO HEWLETT PACKARD: You guys are in serious need
of a low cost clue. Buy one and take good care of it. If you
are going to sell a usb product DON'T MAKE THE USB CABLE
AN OPTIONAL ACCESSORY WHICH IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE BOX! You
guys are morons. You include a printer cartridge and a power
cord, and leave out that little detail. Fortunately, I keep
odd's and ends in my junk box, and happened to have one.

   I love Linux.

   regards,

   Mateus
