   Hi,

I'm using edgy eft at the moment and I'm planing on upgrading a month or
so after the official release by using the terminal - sudo aptitude
   dist-upgrade

I've never upgraded this way before and I know it's not recommended
however I have a few files I wish to keep on my system.

   So,

my question is this... if I use the upgrade sudo command will all my files
I have downloaded to my home dir stay in the dir, or does the upgrade
remove everything acting like a clean install ?

   Thanks
