   Hi Chris,

Not having used Turnpike myself I couldn't really suggest a replacement
along those lines. However, there are countless free clients under
Ubuntu that you can use. I use Evolution which is a groupware client, a
lot like Outlook. Many users swear and curse about it but I've never had
a reason to switch to anything else. I do believe there is an Windows
alpha version doing the rounds now...

Then you have Mozilla Thunderbird (also available under Windows), KMail
(the native KDE client) among others. If you can get Ubuntu installed it
might be worth a try to see what takes your fancy.

If you really, really want to continue using Turnpike, there are a
number of virtualization solutions available to you. If you're willing
to fork out $60 then you have Win4Lin, which is a commercially supported
Windows virtualization solution. I personally use VirtualBox (free of
charge for the basic version) because I don't have a lot to do with
virtualization except to create Windows binaries of my games and it
   works fine.

If you link up a virtual Windows environment to the Internet, you will
have to put up with the security breaches in Windows as always - i.e.
you will need anti-virus, firewall etc. Obviously it won't affect your
   Linux desktop environment however.
