   See "man hier" for some explanations about the linux filesystem   
   hierarchy.

   You should not edit the global slrn.rc. Instead edit .slrnrc in your   
   home dir. See /usr/share/doc/slrn/FIRST_STEPS.gz and

   That's part of the security concept and a lot of people think that you   
   should do the same with windows.   
   Once you get used to it it's not a problem.
