      What information would that be? You haven't been all too eager to give me   
   the proper privileges to access your server.   
      
      Yes, I probably haven't jumped through all the "getaccess" hoops on your   
   system that you expect the average John Doe to jump through, but a friendly   
   netmail to me, telling me that you've added me as a user just the same, would   
   have been highly appreciated. I do that a lot to fidonet persons that I want   
   to invite to this new JamNNTPD adventure of ours.   
      
      But, just now I tried to add FIDONEWS to my subscriptions on your server,   
   and the 10,000 headers in the echo took a staggering 45 minutes to "download"   
   at an average speed of far less than 1kB/s. From e.g. Paul's or Tommi's   
   servers, this takes just a few minutes, and from Ross' server, the fastest   
   JamNNTPd server in the known fido world, it takes less than a minute to   
   download 10k headers.   
      
      I have absolutely no idea about how long it takes to download 10k headers   
   from my server, but if it takes 45 minutes, I'll have to seriously reconsider   
   my professional position as a computer consultant.   
      
      How *are* you connected to the world, mark? Via modem....?   
      
      Needless to say, I cannot recommend anyone to get fidonet access from such   
   an extremely slow server, I hope you understand that? Feel free to consult   
   Ross in order to speed up your server to at least decent speeds.
