Hi! Ross,              On Wed, 07 Mar 12, you wrote to me:               RC>>> any known issues with jamnntpd using a jam msgbase maintained        RC>>> by fastecho?               PQ>> Nope. JamNNTPd has been working sweetly with FastEcho here        PQ>> since April 2006.               RC> Thanks, that was my hope.. ISTR someone saying otherwise, way back        RC> when so I had always maintained things with crashmail.              Crashmail is okay. I've had it running on two test systems for a little over       a month (vBoxes). It seems to have trouble exporting/packing netmails with       the FREQ attribute set but that might be a side-effect of running in a vBox.        The netmails appear on the target node (another vBox - Win98SE running       FastEcho) just like your ordinary run of the mill "how's yer father" type of       sociable netmail text. Not the FREQ as requested & scanned out, and,       differing from the original of which that is still in the JAM netmail area       with the FREQ bit set.              Otherwise, FastEcho is best (particuarly since it is now free). I've always       considered Fmail to be second best.              Cheers,       Paul.              ---         * Origin: Deja Booboo: The feeling you've screwed this up before. (3:640/384)    |
