      Yes indeed. We know that David has turned his previously public server   
   private. And I know I had mine private for several months in early 2004, with   
   only Johan having access to it, while he and I shook out most of the bugs in   
   the program.   
      
      And, indeed, setting up a private JamNNTPd server is magnitudes easier   
   than, and superior to, any of the old variants, such as point systems, QWK   
   readers and so on.
