       Indeed...  I would have liked being able to get it done sooner but   
   wasn't able to work on it as much as I liked to.   
      
       The package I'm working on is for version 1.0 of JamNNTPd because that's   
   the version I've had to work with that's relevant to Linux. Even from what   
   little I've seen here in the echo so far, there may be more recent versions   
   than that so it looks like I have more work to do than what I might have   
   thought...  I do have the v1.0 and older versions in a GIT repository,   
   including and coming from an import from the original authors mercurial   
   repository.   
      
       Note also that I am already the maintainer for the Crashmail II package in   
   Debian, which is one of the reasons I'm working on getting JamNNTPd in.   
      
       Note also that I'm not yet actively working on packaging the smapi   
   versions of it, in part because I consider that a different application (which   
   should be differently named) because of the different message base backend but   
   also because I want to work on the smapi packaging first...
