   not a problem... packing is fine... renumbering is not if a nntp server is   
   involved... my system packs my message bases every day but it does not   
   renumber them...   
      
   i should say that i've been running like this for years before jamnntpd ever   
   came out... i started this back when JAM was first introduced as a test... the   
   test is still on-going ;)
