   GoldED is a sysop-side reader/editor of FTN messages it is good only for a bbs   
   sysop's access to his local message bases external to his bbs software...   
   GoldED is also used by FTN points in much the same was as a BBS sysop does...   
   the main difference being that a point doesn't have bbs software but they do   
   have a FTN mailer and FTN mail tosser along with message abses...   
      
   GoldED cannot read NNTP messages directly... it also cannot read QWK offline   
   mail packets directly... or Blue Wave offline mail packets... let's not   
   confuse the different technologies used to read and write messages transported   
   by FTN software and methods ;)
