I switched to the smapi branch and haven't looked back -- my       whole system is based on the Husky project. I've found the latest 'unstable'       tarball to work very well - even if the documentation is either scarce or in       Russian.              I'm running:              Gentoo Linux in a 64bit VM (gcc 4.5.3,etc)        smapi 2.5.0        (fidoconf, areafix, etc etc from the same trrball)        hpt 1.9.0-cur 28-01-12        htick/lnx 1.9.0-cur 15-11-11        JamNNTPd-smapi 1.1.2 (dev-build)                     > i am not using the SMAPI stuff but the original stuff... there were       > things in SMAPI that i didn't like way back and i've never used it with       > my JAMbases... somethings are just enough slightly different to cause       > problems from expected actions :?              Also, the smapi version can operate on all the same message formats as       supported by the Husky project, which includes JAM, Squish, and the old ..MSG       format.              I don't think I want to support the non-smapi version; it has custom code for       handling JAM which, to me, is duplicated efforts as a properly supported       open-source library exists and that library adds more message base options to       sysops.              I stood up a WinXP VM become my build environment for the win32 version -- now       to just get the toolchain needed to build with...              Scott              ---        * Origin: -=[ Space Station Alpha ]=- (1:266/420.0)    |
