   I'm going to assume you have SmapiNNTPd listening on port 5000?   
      
   That said, it seems to be connecting fine, but now something may be broken   
   with the .allow file now (I get this is what you were trying to explain   
   before).   
      
   Did you try putting ::ffff:127.0.0.1 in there for shits and giggles to see if   
   it let you in?
