   Oh, and just to be 100% clear - I got UTF-8 working to support the usage of my   
   Apple iOS based devices;  iOS only seems to support UTF-8 system wide on these   
   devices.  AND I did that just to keep tabs on the system while I'm out and   
   about.   
      
   Other then that, newsreaders of all kinds are happy with iso8859-1. Having   
   said that, it is possible to /force/ a character set in JamNNTPd on the area   
   definition line.  One could force all postings in iso8859-1 if so desired.
