I've cleaned up my hacking to about the 90% level - I even have a config
parameter for the certificate file now (was hard coded). I also cleaned up a
lot of useless polling - the server not properly blocks and waits for
user/client IO vs chewing CPU time polling with selects that timed-out every
   second.

Is there a evaluation version of OS/2 one can download? I remember back in the
day (way back) with OS/2 1.2 and 1.3 on my BBS. I'd like to see if I can get
it to build and run. I can also package up the source and make it available
for other folks to try it.

I know the linux build works, and I added a compile time define of
"TLSENABLED" to enable the TLS routines and config parameters. Most of the
changes are in nntpserv.c/h and sockio.c/h; minor changes to main.c.

   List of files changed:
   src/Makfile.linux
   src/main.c
   src/nntpserv.c
   src/nntpserv.h
   src/sockio.c
   src/sockio.h
   src/History.txt

   Additional requirements:
This is the SMAPI version; you'll need the husky project (the CVS (unstable)
   version to build)

Secondly, I built it for openSSL - a working install of openssl is needed.

A *Signed* Server Certificate in PEM format, no certificate = no SSL.

Those of you building for OS/2 or Win32 - you'll need to modify the
src/Makefile.os2 and src/Makefile.win32 respectively; defining TLSENABLED in
PLATFORMDEF, and add support for openSSL's ssl and crypt libraries.

*NOTE: I've never gotten around to getting my freq processor installed -
   perhaps someday.
