   You need to edit the Makefile.  In jamnntpd, it should be in   
   src/Makefile.unix.   
      
   Find the line, CCOPTS and add to it -m32.

   There were some modified versions floating around - some which did not   
   work that well.  The versions used by folks here work well provided   
   you dont get caught by the march issue.
