Hello rick,              On 14 Sep 16 08:56, rick christian wrote to Paul Quinn:               rc> Thanks, but dragging in Husky and all its excess baggage is not really        rc> a plan or option, as eventually I would like to put my FTN mailer on a        rc> Pi to let it run on its own with a shared file system for Golded to        rc> read from...              Don't bother with debian/ubuntu packages. Grab the source for crashmail and       compile it yourself.               rc> If I was going to use Husky I may as well just run DOSBox and setup        rc> FD, but since my local net uses Binkd and I need binkp that is not an        rc> option. Or even go dig out the telebits and V.90/92 modems in the shed        rc> and run it that way....              "dragging in Husky and all it's excess baggage" - there is not much excess       baggage, as you say. Using CVS to grab ALL will give you a bunch of crap you       don't want. If all you want is the tosser (hpt), and a file tosser (htick),       then all you need is huskybse, fidoconf, smapi, areafix, hpt, and htick. All       in one package, right there.               BTW, TinyTIC is complete garbage, and if you do plan on feeding other nodes,       TinyTIC will not regenerate TIC files and send to downlinks.               Regards,       Nick              ...
