   that was what i saw until i updated to the 1.2 code... i did, however, have to   
   clean out all the intermediate build files, though... i almost forgot about   
   that... that forced a complete rebuild which then worked for me...   
      
   something else, too... you mentioned that the header updated when the user   
   clicked on it... that sounds like the user's index was out of sunc with the   
   server's feed... are you still using HPT on that server? are you packing and   
   purging old messages out in your maint, if you run such? IIRC, HPT forces a   
   renumber which will wreck havoc like this... i wish HPT didn't force the   
   renumbering of the messages or at least it would make it an option... i prefer   
   not to renumber at all...
