   it isn't an OS problem... it is a conformity enforcement problem... apparently   
   changing the code to not put in the ">" works... looks to me like some regex   
   is getting confused and not looking for a leading "<" first... in other words,   
   not really a JAMNNTPD problem... the same might likely happen is someone put a   
   ">" in their name field... the detection and subsequent processing may be a   
   method to thwart spammers putting other email addresses within the "<>"   
   characters and causing the real/other ones to not be shown...
